AT HOME PROGRAM
an all-in-one, easy-to-use, tech-driven program that develops global competency among K-6 learners
It’s pilot program time! We are currently looking for students and families to receive our offerings for FREE in exchange for partnership and feedback on our at-home program.
Background
In 2018, we drove to South America in a self-converted van...but not alone!
Between 2018 and 2019 we drove from the United States to the tip of South America and even visited Antarctica!
We took classrooms spread across the United States “with us” virtually to vicariously learn from our journey. Classrooms across the USA followed the expedition in real-time and learned from the base curriculum and “On-the-Road” lessons. You can learn more about our classroom program here.
On our trip we collected thousands of photos and filmed hundreds of hours of content for video-based lessons. Now, we are taking that content to create an asynchronous, robust learning program for at-home learning.

What you get
Students will first receive their base curriculum box that introduces them to their guides, the journey ahead, and how to prepare for the road. After that, they will receive regular deliveries of country-specific lessons and activities “from the road.”
Base Curriculum Box
Our base curriculum box includes an Explorer Workbook, world map, some fun surprises, and a variety of QR-code linked video lessons coupled with hands-on activities. Our Base Curriculum covers some important basics of traveling, global competency, and highlights skills like adaptability and preparedness.
Country-specific Lessons
After completing the base curriculum, A journey south then lets students explore 10 countries on the route in more depth through "On the Road" lessons. Each country gets its own special folder with activities unique to that destination.
QR Code POwered Activities
The Great Untold EDU believes that embracing technology to make learning more engaging and interactive IS the future of learning. So in our box you'll also find QR code technology utilized throughout our activities. These QR codes are linked to things like our video lessons that transport students TO the destinations they are learning about with us (Bryce & Valerie) as their in-country guides.

Unlike others, our programs are based on real world people and real world experiences. Students don't just learn about country facts and figures, they learn about real people and real stories from the road

Our offerings include hands-on activities and access to a wealth of online activities and lessons, bridging the digital world with the physical one

We are in our R&D phase right now! That means that we are choosing a select group of students and families to get The Great Untold EDU at-home program for FREE right now. All that we ask in exchange is for some feedback on our program offerings.

YES! In addition to our educational programs, we also write and run a blog by the same (ish) name: “The Great Untold”
You can visit our blog via the menu or by clicking here.
While some of the content may look similar, the way the classroom program and the at-home program work functionally are quite different! We also only provide access to our classroom program to K-6 educators with a school email address.
Classroom program: includes lots of group activities, educator proctoring, and only includes digital downloads. (No physical offerings)
At-home program: made for at-home learning, everything needed for the program delivered to your home, less adult participation needed.
